My stay at Extended Stay, Rockford, East State, has been one of my best hotel experiences. The rooms are well appointed and kept clean with all items working well. Wifi, which I use for my work, is consistent and staff is responsive if I have issues. Speaking of the staff, they are always available for help and the friendliest folks around. The manager, Judy, is so responsive that I never want for anything that the hotel can provide. All staff, including the maintenance and housekeeping people are always quick to respond and very friendly. I like the size of the television and it seems very new. All front desk requests are answered quickly and in a friendly manner. I will continue to use this facility and always recommend to friends and family.

Excellent stay. The hotel and hotel room were super clean and my room was very quiet and comfortable. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. The value for the money is extraordinary, they could easily charge more and it'd still be worth every penny.

This a terrible hotel, the front desk is none existing, it shuts down and looks like a store that's closed, Shutter down and pad locked. You have to purchase the pots and pan sets one $19.99 the other $39.99 just insane. My friend had a plumbing issue in the bathroom, one of the hotel staff brought him a plunger and gloves told him he had to do it himself. Another friend key stop working she had to wait for someone to come and reactive her so she could get her belongs to check out this was 9:30 am front desk still shut down. This hotel need have a lead test done on the water its horrible it feels slime on the skin in the mouth it's like tasting salt water at the beach. This place is not worth it anymore. Only good thing the room was clean.

I stay here EVERY time I’m in town. It’s the most affordable and comfortable experience EVERY time. The staff is remarkable and no matter how long it’s been since my last visit they never forget my face. I’ve never felt so comfortable in any other hotel in this area.

Only 3 pillows on a queen bed. No hair dryer in the bathroom. Breakfast is muffins, granola bars and oatmeal. Coffee and hot water. No cold water, no cold drinks. In order to get a pillow or hair dryer you have to ask. The employee said they are not required to provide pillows or hair dyers. Penny pinching motel. Don't recommend.

Pros and cons... stayed here for 21 nights w/2 cats and we were overcharged by hundreds for the pets... $3000 for 3 weeks including an extra $700 at least for the cats. Very rundown motel. Mattress was old and worn out with springs sticking into my hips. But, it was well run, quiet and maintained. Staff were attentive to requests and cheerful.

Rockford has many hotels to choose from yet ESA Rockford/State Street always draws me back. Is it familiarity? Sure, but that alone is not the reason. It's the combination of comfort, value, safety, cleanliness, and friendliness. The perfect combination of what every hotel should aspire to be, and the location can't be beat. Close to everything... shopping, restaurants, entertainment. Shout out to the entire staff for all they do, you are top notch!

Would never be back. Room was very outdated and worn, it was not very clean ( could see stains on the bed skirt, bathroom counter not very clean) etc. Refrigerator was so loud we had to turn it off. Air conditioner wouldn’t kick on. The advertised “breakfast “ consists of a cart with coffee, granola bars, and prepackaged honey buns. People working were friendly but facilities are terrible. One of the worst rooms we have ever stayed in.

I really like the staff. They are all very friendly, especially Hunter the receptionist. Super easy to check in with no issues what so ever. And always trying to accomodate my needs. They make me feel very welcomed and are always at my service.
